CLARITY

See you in the morning

sunlight shining on your face

and you look different somehow.

As if some change has manifested

in the way your hair falls about your face,

or in the way your eyes look out.

Has the whole world changed,

or is it just you?

You seem out of place ,

a little less confused.

And the things you say,

now they all make sense

and you don’t look so afraid anymore.

Wonder if you even notice

the look of peace you’ve found in this.
